Damoh, Damoh In view of public safety, entry of loading and heavy goods carrying vehicles is banned in Damoh urban border area from 06 am to 11 pm, under the Central Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and Madhya Pradesh Motor Vehicle Rules 1994, District Magistrate Sudhir Kumar Kochhar. Has issued orders.

In the order issued, it has been said that loading and other heavy vehicles entering Damoh urban border area from Panna, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Jabalpur and Katni routes, vehicles going towards other cities will not be allowed to enter Damoh urban border area. For movement by such vehicles, bypasses and other external routes will have to be used. Within the Damoh urban border area, entry or movement of heavy goods carriers like trucks, dumpers, medium load capacity trucks and tractors being used for purposes other than agricultural purposes will be completely prohibited.
Vehicles engaged in essential services have been completely exempted from the above restriction order, such as police and army vehicles, municipal vehicles (fire brigade, water tanker, garbage cart etc.), vehicles engaged in election work, vehicles engaged in the work of electricity board. Vehicle enclosed in, L. PG/Petroleum vehicles, vehicles engaged in health services, vehicles engaged in banks, vehicles engaged in government food and fertilizer transportation, vehicles of Public Works Department/Public Health Engineering Department, vehicles of Forest Department, vehicles of Railway Department. There will be exemption.

In the order, Additional District Magistrate, District Damoh has been authorized to take decisions regarding granting exemption to a particular vehicle from the ban on the recommendation of the departmental officer in special circumstances. This order will remain effective till further orders.
There is a possibility of accidents during day time due to the movement of loading and heavy goods vehicles through Panna Damoh road, Chhatarpur-Damoh road, Sagar-Damoh road, Jabalpur-Damoh road, Katni-Damoh road under Damoh urban limit area, and There is a possibility of traffic in urban areas becoming disorganized and disrupted.
