Saharanpur, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra reached the Central Warehouse located on Janata Road and checked the security arrangements of the EVMs kept there. DM is very sensitive regarding the security of EVMs. Dr. Dinesh Chandra reached the Central Warehouse today and investigated for a long time. He got all the CCTV footage of the previous days checked. Instructions were given to the paramilitary force personnel and policemen deployed there that no vehicle should be allowed inside. If any officer is also coming for inspection, then their car should be checked and they should be allowed inside only after complete identification.
Elections were held on Saharanpur and Kairana Lok Sabha seats on 19 April. After voting, EVMs are kept under tight security in the central warehouse. Paramilitary forces and policemen have been put on duty here. CCTV cameras have been installed in the entire central warehouse. A control room has been built, where LEDs have been installed. DM reached the Central Warehouse and checked the security of EVMs apart from the cameras. On this occasion, police officials including Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Rajneesh Kumar Mishra were present with him.
