On this occasion, Additional Superintendent of Police TS Baghel, Additional Collector Ajit Srivastava, Public Works Department Executive Engineer Ravindra Verma, Transport Officer Santosh Kumar Malviya, CMHO Dr. R Nidaria, Civil Surgeon Dr. BS Maina, District Panchayat Additional Chief Executive Officer HL Verma, SDO Public Works Harshvardhan Singh, NHAI Engineer Abhishek Gaur and Amitabh Jha were present.
In the meeting, the Collector directed that taking joint action with the help of Municipal and Public Works Department, Sub-Divisional Officer, Revenue and Police, get the encroachment removed from AB Road passing through the city. Leave at least 5-5 feet of space on both sides of the road. The Collector said that parking lots have been made by many people at the intersections of the city, that too should be removed by the municipal and traffic police. Keep the roads free from encroachment, so that the citizens get the facility of smooth movement. Due to encroachment on the roads, accidents are happening every day. The same people also have trouble in commuting. New gumtiyas are being installed on AB Road, that too should be removed strictly by the municipality. The Collector asked the District Panchayat CEO to get a part of Tandabordi's Gaushala ready, so that stray cattle could be kept there. The District Transport Officer should get radium strips installed behind the tractor-trolleys for reflectors. Instruct the trolley manufacturers to compulsorily put radium strips on the trolleys at the time of sale. Take action against vehicles coming from the opposite direction on four-lane main roads, those who jump signals, pick up and drop passengers by parking the bus wherever they want. Create traffic police challans for people without wearing helmet and seat belt. The Collector directed the CMHO to immediately inform the District Transport Officer about the accident victims. In the meeting, the officers of NHAI were instructed to repair the service road and underpass road in village Abhaypur. Also fix the black spots.
