Katni, the torrential rain in the district for the last two days has disrupted life. While rivers and streams are overflowing due to heavy rains, there is a situation of waterlogging in the lower settlements of the city. The Mangalnagar underbridge of the under bridge route going from Mudwara to Katni South Station has also submerged in water, due to which passengers are facing great difficulty in reaching the station.

Passengers who came to catch the train to Jabalpur said that the train is in just 15 minutes, but the road is closed. Now they do not understand how to reach the station. Thousands of people travel on this route, which is considered an important link of the city, every day. In such a situation, the submergence of the underbridge in the rain is not only creating problems, but also raising questions on the preparations of the administration. At the same time, some people were also seen crossing this waterlogged underbridge, putting their lives at risk. Due to continuous rain, the lower settlements adjoining Jhinjhari and Lakhera Bardoli College have also been flooded. Due to which the people of the area are facing problems. The people of the colony said that they have complained about this problem to the higher officials many times, the situation of water logging in the area remains the same. When Municipal Corporation Commissioner Nilesh Dubey was talked to in this whole matter, he said that before the rain, construction work of drains was done for water drainage in view of the situation of rain water filling in many big drains and colonies, and if any such problem comes again, then work will be done by paying attention to it. ... Now the question is that like every year, when will a permanent solution be found for the underbridges submerging in the rain and the water filling in the lower settlements?
