Raipur, State Women Congress General Secretary and State Spokesperson Preeti Upadhyay Shukla has formally presented her claim for the post of Mayor of Raipur. In this direction, she has formally presented her candidature by applying to Raipur City District Congress Committee President Girish Dubey. Mrs. Shukla is in Delhi these days and is meeting the Congress high command and is pushing for the mayor's ticket.
Preeti Shukla is known as an educated, well-behaved and hardworking leader. Her image among the public is very good, and due to her strong political experience, her claim is being taken seriously both within and outside the Congress. Political experts believe that if she gets the mayor's ticket from the Congress, then her chances of winning are very strong.
Along with presenting her claim for the post of mayor, Preeti Upadhyay Shukla has started intensive tours in all the wards of Raipur Municipal Corporation area. She is directly communicating with the public and taking their blessings. At the local level, the public is responding positively to her activism and hard work.

During her stay in Delhi, Mrs. Shukla met senior Congress leaders, including Pawan Khera, President of the National Media and Publicity Department. In these meetings, she described herself as a capable and strong candidate for the post of Mayor. She sought the party's support for her claim, highlighting her political loyalty, experience and the need for women leadership.

Mrs. Shukla said that her husband Kunal Shukla, who has been associated with the Congress for a long time and is known for his activism as an RTI activist, has exposed many important matters. This has strengthened the Congress party and increased the party's base among the public. She says that in view of her loyalty to the Congress and the contribution of her family, the party should choose her for the post of Mayor.

Preeti Upadhyay Shukla emphasized that this is the right time to promote women leadership in Raipur. She said, "As a woman candidate, I should be given a chance so that the women of Raipur get an opportunity to be represented and the Congress party can give the message of women empowerment."

Political analysts believe that Preeti Upadhyay Shukla's name is emerging as the strongest and most qualified candidate from the Congress for the post of mayor. Her educational and political experience, public connection, and her hard work make this claim even stronger.

Now it will be interesting to see what decision the Congress high command takes on her claim. Probably a woman will also be the mayor candidate from BJP, so if Mrs. Preeti gets a ticket from the party, then this will be an important contest in the mayor election of Raipur.
