Purnia, recently 3.70 crore was robbed from Tanishq Jewellery Shop of Purnia. The criminals fled after looting precious diamonds and gold jewellery. A close friend of accused Chunmun Jha has been arrested by the STF team from Thana Chowk. He is a resident of Housing Colony.

The arrested youth is believed to be related to Chunmun Jha who absconded after the incident. Information about Chunmun Jha's hideouts is being obtained from the arrested youth. This is because Chunmun Jha knows the criminals involved in the Tanishq robbery. Only after his arrest can other criminals be reached.

The employees of Tanishq showroom are also being questioned. Mobile numbers and home addresses of all the employees working in Tanishq Jewellery Shop have been sought. All the employees are being questioned one by one. The mobile numbers of the employees are also being searched. The criminals had taken all the employees hostage at gunpoint to the first floor. The employees are also being questioned about the plan made earlier by the criminals.
