Connectivity will be available till Varanasi
Another National Highway (NH) is going to be constructed in Bhojpur, Bihar, which will promote easy connectivity between the northern and western parts of the state. This proposed national highway will be built from Bagaha to Bhojpur and has been named 'Narayani-Ganga Corridor'. This road will be 225 km long, and a total of Rs 15,450 crore will be spent on its construction.
The Road Construction Department has sent a proposal to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for this ambitious project. The department has requested the Center to prepare its feasibility report, so that the process of making DPR (Detailed Project Report) can be started.
At the same time, the road will be developed as a greenfield high-speed corridor, which will make it even easier to travel between different parts of the state. The proposed corridor from Bagaha (NH-727A) to Patar in Bhojpur district will directly benefit six districts, including Bhojpur, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, West Champaran and other areas of North Bihar.
A new bridge over the Gandak river is also under construction in this project, which will make travel even more accessible. At Patar (Ara), this corridor will connect with the Patna-Ara-Sasaram High Speed Corridor (NH-119A), which will reduce travel time and distance from Bagaha to Sasaram via Ara and Varanasi-Kolkata to UP and further areas. The construction of this road will also expand the road network in these districts, improving local transport conditions and boosting business activities.
Let us tell you that information has been given about the cost of this project that a total of Rs 15,450 crore will be spent, out of which Rs 3,950 crore will be spent on land acquisition and Rs 11,500 crore on its construction. This corridor will not only facilitate travel, but will also create new opportunities for economic development in the surrounding areas, which will increase employment opportunities in these districts.
With the construction of this road, not only will there be better road connectivity in different parts of Bihar, but the growth rate of the state can also increase, which will enable Bihar to get the benefit of a strong transport network at the national level.
