There will be expansion in the Union Cabinet
Significantly, since the formation of the government at the Center for the second time in the year 2019, till now the cabinet expansion was done only once in the Modi cabinet. On July 7, 2021, PM Narendra Modi reshuffled his cabinet on a large scale. In which the departments of many ministers were either changed or their stature was reduced. By including many unexpected names in the cabinet, Narendra Modi tried to create social and regional equations. Whose benefit was also seen in the last assembly elections.
There was a big victory in UP-Gujarat
BJP made a tremendous comeback in 2022 by winning the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Gujarat and Manipur. Now this year i.e. in 2023, assembly elections are to be held in 9 states. In which Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Telangana are prominent. It is being feared that the quota of MPs from these electoral states may be increased in the cabinet. Along with this, preparations are also being made to discharge some old ministers.
It is believed that the review report of the work of the ministers involved in the government has been prepared. On the basis of which there is a preparation to send many ministers of state to the organization, while there is a possibility of major changes in the departments of many big cabinet ministers.
The clan of allies of NDA will increase in the government
In the second cabinet expansion of Modi government 2.0, this time it is believed that the family of NDA will be increased. In view of the situation in the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar and to set the social equation, BJP is eyeing Paswan's votes. Chirag Paswan is expected to be included in the cabinet so that votes are not divided. Similarly, in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) broke away from Thackeray and formed government with BJP. It is believed that being a constituent of NDA, they can also be included in the government. AIDMK from Tamil Nadu can also be included in the cabinet.
These states will get participation before the elections
According to sources, some new faces from Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana can be included in the cabinet. While preparations are being made to send some ministers to the organization as well. Preparations are on to change the roles of some senior ministers as well. To implement this, internal discussion is going on in the organization.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's residence
If sources are to be believed, on January 9, a big meeting was called by PM Modi at the Prime Minister's residence in this episode. In which apart from two senior Union Ministers, BJP President JP Nadda also participated. Exactly on the second day i.e. on January 10, BJP President JP Nadda had a meeting with the general secretaries. One after the other such episodes seem to be clearing the picture of 2024.
