Major accident on Mahasetu
The approach road of the under-construction bridge in Bihar collapsed between two pillars
Patna, A bridge accident has happened again in Bihar. The span installed between two pillars on the approach road of the under-construction Ganga Mahasetu of Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur six lane, north of Nandani Laguniyan railway station of Patori in the district, collapsed at about 50 feet on Sunday night. After this, there was a stir among the officials of Navayuga Engineering Company Limited engaged in the construction of the bridge. By turning on the lights in the dark of the night, the officials and workers of the company started erasing the evidence by burying the debris of the collapsed span inside the soil with the help of JCB. However, after the information, a crowd of people also gathered on the spot and some people also made a video of the debris being buried. In this case, the company project manager Joseph said that there was a problem in the said slab, due to which it was demolished. The slab did not fall on its own. Some spans were placed between the pillars
The approach road of this Mahasetu is being constructed above the railway line near Nandini Laguniyan railway station between Shahpur Patori and Mohiuddinnagar. A few months ago, spans were placed on these pillars. On Sunday night, this span situated on two pillars in the northern part of the railway line collapsed. This has also raised questions on the quality of the bridge.
