Maihar, lack of preparations by the administration in the city for the huge Shri Ram-Janaki marriage festival to be held in Maihar on December 6 and the pathetic condition of the main roads has created a big controversy. Congress leader Prabhat Dwivedi has written a letter to the District Collector Maihar and listed many shortcomings which are indirectly serious allegations on the city administration and BJP leaders.

Prabhat Dwivedi has said that the main roads of the city are dug and then built every six months. He termed this process as misuse of government money and called it a living example of corruption. The leader said that this time too, despite the religious event being close, the roads of the city are dug, due to which the saints, devotees and local citizens coming from all over the country will have to face a lot of trouble.

Allegation of misuse of government money
There is an allegation in the verbal discussion of the people that if the construction work done on the roads of the city in the last several years is investigated, then corruption will come to the fore on a large scale. He said that repeated digging and construction work is not only a waste of government money, but it is also a loss of time and resources of the general public.

Targeting BJP leaders
Prabhat Dwivedi, while targeting BJP leaders in a verbal conversation, said that the city administration and BJP leaders are limited to only getting photographed and making headlines in the media. They have completely failed to take any concrete steps in the interest of the general public.

Crisis on religious event
Demanding to improve the condition of the city before the huge religious event, Dwivedi said that the city administration should ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience. He has demanded immediate intervention from the district administration regarding this matter.

Demand for investigation
After the letter of the Congress leader went viral, there is a discussion among the common people in the corridors that if the construction work done on the roads in the last five years is investigated, then a big scam can be exposed. He has appealed to the district administration to take decisive steps on this.

What will the administration do?
Now it remains to be seen how seriously the district administration takes this letter. Will these allegations be investigated, or will this letter be suppressed in the administrative offices? The people of the city are also expecting accountability from the city administration and leaders in this matter.
