Damoh, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said farmer Makhan Patel of Nandrai village of Pathariya tehsil of the district, who is also an entrepreneur, has his entire farming in Nandrai, he does his farming there. Mushrooms are grown at his place, apart from this, peanuts and the third thing is tomato, all these three things are purchased from him and all these three are organic, the fertility of the soil is good, due to this these are very nutritious, tasty and fresh products.

The collector said that Nandrai village of Damoh district is a rapidly emerging name especially in the field of farming, farmer Makhan Patel has come here today with his son, his son is studying agriculture, it is a great pleasure that our farmer brothers are progressing through organic farming and their children are also studying further in agriculture and taking care of their father's legacy.

The collector urged all the farmer brothers and said that Damoh district is an agricultural district, the basic business of the district is farming, so it is our job to encourage such farmers, buy as many of their products as possible which include their vegetables, fruits, crops, mushrooms or peanuts, encourage them. This material is pure and is also available at a low price. Collector Mr. Kochar has decided that from next month onwards, organic hot will be set up in Damoh every month, so that there are more farmer entrepreneurs like Makhan Patel, their products come here and they get the best market. While wishing all the farmer brothers a Happy Diwali, he said that I hope that they will continue to progress rapidly in farming in this way.

In-charge Agricultural Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. Manoj Ahirwal said that Makhan Patel, a progressive farmer of Patharia tehsil of the district, is doing a lot of activities in his village with the support of Krishi Vigyan Kendra United, Mumbai Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, etc., in which he is producing oyster mushrooms in mushroom production activities. He said that mushrooms are beneficial, a good food item which we should eat, they grow without planting them in the field, any young unemployed can cultivate them very well by planting them in a room of the house.

He said that the farmer brothers who want to cultivate mushrooms should contact the scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra and visit the field or house of farmer Makhan Patel in village Nandrai once, where mushroom cultivation is going on. As a nutritious food, mushroom provides a lot of protein, minerals and other things, it is very nutritious, we should definitely take mushroom in our daily diet at least once a week. He told that it is cultivated well from September to March and usually the oyster mushroom is prepared very well, along with this there is also a butter mushroom and nowadays there are many varieties of mushrooms, which farmers are planting. Common people should get into the habit of eating mushrooms, so that the mushroom producing farmer brothers of our area get some benefit here and the unemployed also get some employment.

Farmer Makhan Patel, resident of village Nandrai of Tehsil Patharia of the district, said that right now we are doing organic farming and mushroom farming, the production of mushrooms is good. We are also doing organic farming of tomatoes, peanuts and other vegetables, whose production is good. He said that we want other farmers to do it too. About 10-15 people have started working on mushrooms at our place. All farmer brothers should pay attention to mushrooms, buy them and also taste them by eating them. He said that he is explaining it to the farmers as well, so that the farmers are also doing it. It is requested that all people should pay attention to mushrooms and move forward.
