Indore, Congress candidate from Assembly Constituency No. 5 Satyanarayan Patel said that BJP only talked about legalizing illegal colonies but did not work in this direction.

In his address during the discussion with the main workers of his assembly constituency yesterday evening, he said that BJP is not interested in legalizing illegal colonies but in giving false consolation to the people by announcing legalization and taking their votes. The BJP state government had several times announced simplification of the policy of legalizing illegal colonies but nothing came of it. Even now the illegal colonies of Indore have not been legalized. Sometimes the excuse of Nazul's NOC is made and sometimes the excuse of Indore Development Authority's NOC is made. The government makes this excuse as if Nazul Department and Indore Development Authority do not come under the government.

Patel said that due to the negligence of the MLA of this area, Indore Municipal Corporation attacked various areas and colonies of Assembly Constituency No. 5 by increasing the property tax rate. It is a matter of regret that the councilor of those areas and the MLA of this area did not even protest against this atrocities being committed against the citizens. Arbitrary taxes are being collected from the citizens by the BJP's own Municipal Council. Now it seems as if people are doing jobs and business only to pay the corporation tax.
