Deoband (Saharanpur). Guru Baba Fakira Das's ancient Ashtadhatu idol has been installed at his Siddhkuti in Adarsh ​​village Mirgpur of Deoband area with full rituals. This ancient Ashtadhatu idol of Guru Baba Fakira Das was with a goldsmith of Muzaffarnagar. Which he had bought from a junk dealer about 20 years ago. Goldsmith Sandeep Rastogi, resident of Muzaffarnagar, reached village Mirgpur with this Ashtadhatu idol of Guru Baba Fakira Das ji and handed it over to the Mahant Baba Kaludas of the temple. Sandeep Rastogi told that after buying the idol from a junk dealer, he tried to melt it several times but he did not succeed. After which he kept the idol in his house. A few days ago, Baba came in his dream and asked him to take the idol to its place. It is being estimated that this idol is hundreds of years old. At the same time, the villagers do not even know who took this idol from Siddhkuti, when and how many years ago. This ancient idol of Baba was installed by the villagers in Siddhkuti with due rituals. On this occasion, Chaudhary Virendra Singh Gurjar, Gajraj Singh Rana, Shakura Pradhan, Bijendra Gupta, Shivkumar, Mohit, Rupendra Gurjar, Senior Gurjar, Vishal Panwar etc. were present. Mirgpur village has its own unique identity across the country. Mirgpur village is the only village in Deoband tehsil whose name is recorded in the Limca Book of Records. When Guru Baba Fakira Das came to the village about 500 years ago, he made the villagers take an oath to stay away from tamasic things. The villagers have been abstaining from tamasic things like alcohol, cigarette, garlic, onion since the pledge made by Baba. The administration has also given Mirgpur village a certificate of being pure vegetarian. Every year a fair is held on the first Dashami date of Falgun month at Baba's Siddhkuti in the village. The villagers celebrate it as a festival. All the relatives and acquaintances of the villagers come to Siddhkuti in this fair, have darshan of Baba and offer prasad.
