Shajapur, Dussehra festival will be celebrated with great joy in the city and Ravana's effigy will be burnt in a traditional manner at the stadium ground. Before this, at around 4 pm, Lord Shri Ram's procession will be taken out from Shri Krishna Gymnasium located in Wazirpura through the main routes of the city which will reach the stadium ground where 75 feet tall Ravana will be burnt. Colorful fireworks will be done before Ravana Dahan. Also, during the program, the Shami tree will be worshipped by the invited guests and after this Ravana will be burnt.

Barricades installed at the stadium

It is worth mentioning that as per every year, this year also the festival of Dussehra will be celebrated with great pomp in the city, due to which a crowd of thousands of people will gather at the local stadium ground to see the burning of arrogant Ravana. To avoid any kind of chaos during Ravana Dahan, the administration has installed barricades around Ravana's effigy and the meeting place. By installing barricades, the gathering and Ravana Dahan can be organised easily without any inconvenience. This time Ravana's look is completely different. Along with giving a new look to Ravana's face, the artists of Ujjain have dressed the effigy in Rajasthani costumes which is a centre of attraction for the people.
