Cow has been given the status of mother not animal, this is the sacred sentiment, faith of Sanatan Dharmi Hindus. For this religious belief, Gau Pratishtha Movement is being run across India to get the respect of Mother Nation to cow by removing the cow from the State List in the Constitution and Law and putting it in the Central List and to make India free from cow slaughter.

Ever since independence, there have been continuous efforts to establish the prestige and protection of mother cow, in which the Dharma Samrat Yatichakrachoodamani of 1966 There is a popular cow protection movement under the leadership of Pujya Karpatri Ji Maharaj Ji, for which thousands of cow devotees sacrificed their lives. In this sequence, to make India free from cow slaughter by giving the honor of the mother of the nation to the cow, the supreme cow devotee Pujya Gopal Mani Ji led the Gau Pratishtha movement and kept it alive across the country and received the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharyas of all the four Peethas in this holy campaign. Gau Sansad was organized in the country to give the honor of the mother of the nation to the cow, consecrated and supported by the revered Jagadguru Shankaracharyas of all the four Peethas and to ban cow slaughter law, in which a 42-point Dharmadesh has also been passed including the Rama Gau Pratishtha Samhita Bill. To ignite this campaign of cow consecration, the supreme revered Jagadguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Ji Maharaj of Jyotirmath is directing this movement by lighting the flame of cow ghee, who also did a barefoot padayatra from Govardhan to Delhi from 14 March to 28 March 2024. Today, the campaign of Gau Pratishtha is continuously going on in the country under the guidance of Pujya Jagadguru Jyotishpeethadhishwar Shankaracharya Ji, who has also declared this Samvatsar as Gau Samvatsar.

Under the guidance and leadership of Pujya Jyotishpeethadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Ji, the Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra has been decided to be held from 22 September to 26 October under the Gau Pratishtha Movement in the whole of India, which will go to the capitals of all the 37 states of India and a Gau Dhwaj will be established there. The convener of the Gau Pratishtha Movement, Pujya Gopal Mani Ji Maharaj will also be with Shankaracharya Ji with full dedication and strength for the success of the Yatra. A divine grand event of a huge Gau Pratishtha Sammelan will be organized in the capitals of each state, the inauguration of which will be from Ayodhya, the capital of cow protector, cow devotee Lord Shri Ram Ji, where Lord is present in the form of Ramlala, from where it will go through the east, west, south, north and will reach the country's capital Delhi on 26 October. Poojya Jagadguru Shankaracharya Ji will also honour the ardent cow devotees of entire India.

Poojya Shankaracharya Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Ji will address the Go Mahasabha, the installation of the cow flag, in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, on 8 October from 12 noon to 3 pm. After this, he will leave for Telangana for further journey.

The aim of this Go Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra is to awaken and unite the cow-loving Hindus of the entire nation for the Go Pratishtha movement in the entire India and to get the respect of the mother of the nation by eradicating the plight of the cow, the stigma of cow slaughter, and by removing the insult of the animal.

After the Go Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra, a three-day nationwide Go Pratishtha Maha Sammelan will be held on 7, 8 and 9 November on the occasion of Gopashtami in the country's capital Delhi, which will be decisive for the Government of India to get the respect of the mother of the nation to the cow by eradicating the stigma of cow slaughter.

For the pre-preparation of this historic yatra, the representative of Jyotishpeethadhiswar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda ji and coordinator of the yatra Brahmachari Mukundanand ji and co-coordinator Gobhakt Vikas Patni ji, state yatra coordinator Akhilesh Brahmachari ji addressed the media.
