Merta Road, Former Chief Minister and National Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot passed through Merta Road while going to Jodhpur by Jaipur-Jodhpur Intercity. Congress workers of Merta Road welcomed him by garlanding and tying a turban and presented him a memento. Residents of the area welcomed him at Guhala, Neemkathana Bypass, Patan and Hasampur. On hearing the news of Sachin Pilot's arrival at Merta Road, Congress workers reached the railway station and after reaching there, gave a grand welcome to Sachin Pilot present in the Jaipur Jodhpur Intercity Express which stopped at platform number one. During this, Sachin Pilot while talking to the workers said that if I get a chance, I will definitely come to Merta Road once. He said that soon Congress will once again get majority in the country, for this all of us Congressmen will have to unite. He said that Congress party is the only party which has taken 36 communities along. It is only during the reign of Congress that the people of Rajasthan have got better facilities along with free health benefits, education and relief from problems like electricity, water and transport. Many Congress workers including Ramniwas Latiyal, Lumnath Sapera, Youth Congress Vice President Aamir Khan, Rameshwar Gehlot, Kailash Chand Sharma, Munir Ahmed Qureshi, Abdul Sattar, Khurshid Ahmed, Haji Abdul Hanif, Ahmed Ali and Sanju Qasim were present during his welcome.
