Katni, a luxury AC bus going from Katni to Indore caught fire due to a short circuit in the board above the driver's seat on the Chandak Chowk over bridge late in the evening and a situation of panic was created among the passengers sitting in the bus and all were safely brought down from the bus.
This fire broke out in New Lok Seva Luxury Bus number mp 09 dw 0928 which was going from Katni to Indore, when suddenly smoke started coming out of the bus on the over bridge. Due to which panic and panic spread among the passengers. All the passengers quickly got off the bus. Traffic police, Kotwali police, fire brigade staff reached the spot. The fire was controlled but the passengers were not ready to leave the bus. The traffic police who reached the spot immediately sent all the bus passengers to the bus stand by auto and the bus that caught fire was sent to the bus stand and the entire matter is being investigated.
