Anuppur, in Banka Tola of Gram Panchayat Daikhal under Funaga police station area, in a dispute between husband and wife between 1-3 o'clock on Thursday-Friday night, the drunken husband attacked his wife with a sharp weapon and killed her. After which, to save himself, he locked himself in a room of the house. When the son informed the police about the incident on 100 dial, the police reached the spot and caught the accused husband and handed him over to Bhalumaada police. Police arrested the murderer husband 40-year-old Mohan Panika and registered a crime against him, where the police will present him in the court on Saturday. In the case, Superintendent of Police Moti Ur Rehman said that the incident took place between 1-2 o'clock on the night of 4-5 October, where husband Mohan Panika, in a drunken state, was forcing his wife 38-year-old Hemvati Panika to have physical relations, on which the wife refused and a quarrel broke out between the two. Angry at this, the husband attacked her near the neck with a sickle kept nearby and killed her. After this, the murderous husband locked himself inside a nearby room to save himself. Meanwhile, his son informed the 100 dial police about the incident. However, on receiving the information of the incident at the local police post Funaga, immediately Bhalumaada police station in-charge Rakesh Uike, Assistant Sub-Inspector Komal Argaria and other police forces reached the spot. At the same time, the constables of the 100 dial vehicle reached the spot and tried to open the door of the closed room. But the accused did not open the door. After which, when the seat on the roof was broken and looked inside, the body of the woman was lying in a blood-soaked state. The police took the accused out of his house and took him to the Funaga Police Outpost.
The SFL team inspected the scene. According to the Superintendent of Police, after the incident, the SFL team including the SDOP and the station in-charge inspected the scene. The reason for committing the crime was revealed during the interrogation of the accused in the morning. At present, the police is preparing to register a case against the accused under various sections and present him in the court.
