District Magistrate Mr. Saurabh Jorwal and Superintendent of Police Mr. Kantesh Kumar Mishra jointly conducted a surprise inspection of the evm-vvpat warehouse located next to the Collectorate complex today. During the inspection, all the personnel and police force on duty were identified in which three police constables Nandan Mandal constable number 822, Ranjit Kumar constable number 1725 and Bunty constable number 983 were found absent. Neither the senior officer was informed nor the leave was sanctioned by him. Considering this as gross negligence in election work, the salaries of the three constables were stopped with immediate effect and after giving an explanation, instructions were given to initiate suspension proceedings.
Today itself, Line DSP Shri Chittaranjan Thakur inspected the presence of EVMs kept by the Panchayati Raj Department in the district school and the police force deployed for its security. Here Shri Ajay Yadav Constable No. 456 was also found unauthorizedly absent. It has also been recommended to stop their salaries and suspend them with explanation.
It has been made clear by the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police that all the workers/officers should take the election work seriously. Any laxity or negligence will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against it.
