Damoh, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar held a review meeting of the wardens of all the hostels run by the Tribal Welfare Department in the district, the hostels run under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and the officers of the School Education Department in the district office meeting room. He discussed in detail with each warden about the problems faced in running the hostel and the food system, accommodation system, security, cleanliness, food menu, enrollment, wardens and cooks and health, drinking water system, electricity system etc. in the hostel and gave appropriate guidelines.
The collector also directed Assistant Director Tribal Riya Jain about the problems of the employees working in the hostel such as salary, accommodation system etc., the problems of salary scale etc. of all should be resolved within the time limit. For the problems of drinking water, electricity, Aadhar update, Public Service Center management, food grains etc., he directed to take immediate action by informing the officials of the concerned department about the problems on the spot.
The collector told all the wardens that no compromise will be made regarding the safety of the students and whatever problems there are, they should immediately inform their senior officers and they should be resolved on time. All students should get quality food, clean drinking water and safe accommodation. He directed the District Health Officer to prepare a monthly calendar in the entire district for organizing monthly health camps in every hostel. In the meeting, a presentation of all the hostels was given as per the agenda through PPT. In the context of the upcoming meeting, it was directed that officials of other departments related to the hostels, such as Food, Water Corporation, Electricity, Police, Health Department etc. should also be included so that the problems can be resolved immediately.
