Saharanpur, As per the instructions of District Magistrate Manish Bansal, a meeting of the district level task force was convened in the new auditorium at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan to review the preparations to deal with Avian Influenza (Bird Flu). In the meeting, preparations, control and containment to prevent bird flu disease were discussed in detail and information was given about the main symptoms of bird flu in humans and birds. The main reasons for the spread of bird flu and the actions to be taken to prevent its spread were also reviewed. Everyone was made aware of what to do and what not to do in case of bird flu.

What to do during bird flu-

To avoid bird flu, make it a habit to wash hands frequently, especially when you come in contact with birds, if you have to be around infected birds, wear a mask, keep the house and surrounding areas clean and use disinfectant regularly, maintain distance from infected birds or their lights, cook eggs and meat thoroughly to avoid bird flu infection, if you feel symptoms of bird flu like fever, cough or difficulty in breathing, contact a doctor immediately, try not to go to infected areas and take care of the condition of the surrounding environment.

What not to do- Do not touch dead or sick birds with hands, as this can spread infection, bird flu can spread through raw eggs and meat, so eat them only after cooking them properly,

Do not go to infected areas without a mask and gloves, if any bird is showing symptoms of disease, stay away from them, do not be careless if you feel symptoms of bird flu like fever, cough, or difficulty in breathing and consult a doctor immediately. It is very important to follow these measures to prevent bird flu so that you and your family can be kept safe. All Deputy Chief and Veterinary Officers from the Animal Husbandry Department participated in the meeting.
