Khargone, Mahashivratri festival was celebrated with enthusiasm in the city on March 8. Special preparations were made in Shiva temples for the festival. Along with the attractive adornment of Bholenath, Rudrabhishek and worship was done in the temples of the city.
Here, as per every year, this year also Bhole's procession was taken out with great pomp from Khedapati Temple Pashupatinath Dham on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival.

On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a grand Shiva procession was taken out in the Khedapati courtyard as part of the Lord Pashupatinath Mahotsav. Baba rode on Nandi and set out on a tour of Pashupatinath city. In which a large number of women also participated
Devotees dance in the procession of Lord Shiva
On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a pompous procession of Lord Shiva was taken out from Pashupatinath Khedapati temple. This procession passed through the entire city and reached Vitthal temple. At midnight the devotees got Shiva-Parvati married. During this time the devotees kept dancing with joy. The tableau of Hanumanji walking in the journey was the center of attraction.
Baba Kisan Bharatiya Ashram of 3.5 feet kept in village Kanjhar. The city police force was also present during the Baba Barfani Yatra to establish peace and keep an eye on anti-social elements.
