Bhind, the forum run under the guidance of Hon. Dr. Indresh Kumar, senior pracharak of RSS and guide of Bharat Tibet Sahayog Manch, has been working continuously for 25 years on the issues of freedom of Tibet, liberation of Kailash Mansarovar, protection of Himalayas, protection of environment and other contemporary issues. The forum is moving ahead with new achievements through its activism, programs and public awareness. If we talk about the forum in terms of achievements, then among all the achievements, one important achievement is Tawang Pilgrimage. Tawang Pilgrimage was started by Hon. Dr. Indresh ji in the year 2012. This year the pilgrimage will be organized from 19 to 25 November. The 13th Tawang Pilgrimage to be organized this time is ready to create new history. Regarding the Tawang pilgrimage, Mr. Arpit Mudgal, National Working President of the Youth Department of Bharat Tibet Sahayog Manch, says that this is not an ordinary pilgrimage, but it is a special pilgrimage. The soul of India is embedded in this pilgrimage. This pilgrimage is full of political, economic, social, religious, cultural, spiritual, national unity-integrity and patriotism or it can be said that it is very important from a holistic point of view. Through this pilgrimage, people from all over India get an opportunity to know and understand Northeast India. When Honorable Indresh ji, the founder of various pilgrimages in India, started this pilgrimage, he had the same feeling in his mind that people from all over India should know and understand Northeast India properly. Along with this, the people of Northeast should also always remain connected to the mainstream of the nation.
The pilgrims of Tawang go to Bumla border in Tawang, the last district of Arunachal Pradesh, which the cunning China claims as its own, and after reaching there, they worship and pay homage to Mother India, i.e. Bharat Bhoomi, along with the local people. By reaching the Bumla border and climbing on the chest of China, the pilgrims send a message to the cunning China that we are capable of giving a befitting reply to the brick with a stone. The brothers and sisters of Northeast India who are unable to travel the whole of India, are extremely delighted to meet the pilgrims who have come from every corner of India. They feel as if they are feeling connected with the whole of India.
Arpit Mudgal says that the matter is not limited to this only. The people of Northeast India also organize many social, religious and cultural programs to welcome and honour the pilgrims of Tawang. The intimacy, affinity, hospitality, simplicity, sweetness and friendliness of the people of Northeast attract the pilgrims of Tawang. The way the people of Northeast India have not only preserved their folk art, folk culture and folk behaviour but are also strengthening it further, it inspires the whole of India to stay connected to its roots.
Arpit Mudgal says that nature has showered its blessings on Northeast India. The natural scenery here is worth seeing. Pilgrims visiting Northeast India, which is full of natural scenes, lakes and waterfalls, get a chance to see, know and understand other historical places including the world's only Shiva temple built on the island of Brahmaputra river, Mahadev temple of Tezpur, Agnigarh temple of Lord Krishna's grandson Aniruddha, Chitralekha Udyaan, Arunachal's entry gate 'Bhaluk Pong', West Kameng district's headquarters 'Bomdila', Jaswantgarh built in memory of soldier Jaswant Singh, Shaheed Smarak of martyrs who died in Indo-China war, Tawang Monastery, the birthplace of sixth Dalai Lama, footprints of Dalai Lama, 'Nanak Lama' built on the land where Guru Nanak Dev ji did penance; Martyr Joginder Baba's memorial. Arpit Mudgal ji says that if the Tawang pilgrimage is analyzed impartially, then it can be said without any hesitation that the purpose of this pilgrimage is very sacred. A special purpose of organizing this yatra in the month of November is that on 20 October 1962, the evil China attacked India ignoring the slogan of Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai. In this Arunachal Pradesh, our brave soldiers gave a befitting reply to the Chinese soldiers despite inadequate resources. Frightened by the bravery of the soldiers, the Chinese soldiers were forced to retreat. In the year 1962 itself, on 14 November, in the joint session of both the houses of the Indian Parliament, it was resolved that every inch of the land captured by China will be taken back. Until all the land is not taken back, there will be no peace. Through this yatra, the rulers of the country are reminded that the time has come to fulfill the resolution taken in the Indian Parliament on 14 November 1962. To fulfill this resolution, the government should go ahead and provide an opportunity to the countrymen to feel proud.
I personally believe that every Indian should have the pride of visiting Arunachal Pradesh, famous as the land of the Sun. A trip to Bumla border is a must once. It will give you a great opportunity to know and understand the whole nation.
